How do I become a Catholic? The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a process by which adults are welcomed into the Catholic faith through Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Baptism preparation classes for parents prior to the baptism of their first child are offered at a time that is convenient to the parents with baptisms celebrated during the 10:30 a.m. Mass on the first Sunday of each month and after the 10:30 Mass on the third Sunday of each month – except during Lent. Call the parish office at 952-758-3225 for more information on this process and to preregister for the class. You can also visit our sacraments page

How do I get married at St. Wenceslaus? Marriage is initiated by contacting the parish office at least one year prior to the proposed wedding date. You will schedule an appointment to meet with the pastor, who will discuss with you the preparation process to be completed before setting a wedding date. Why can’t I call back the parish number left on my caller ID? The 952-758-0461 number, which will appear on your caller ID when you receive a call from the parish phone system, is the main parish number. It is not connected to any one phone but instead to a computer that directs incoming calls to specific phones. Parish staff members are asked to leave their direct number when leaving messages with parishioners.
What do I do in case of an emergency? If you are calling in an emergency, listen to the selections and instructions provided. Follow the directions that apply to your situation, and if possible remain near your phone so the priest/pastoral minister can get back to you as soon as possible.
Does parish staff make sick calls? The parish pastoral ministry staff is happy to make calls when possible to people who are hospitalized or homebound. Privacy laws prevent hospitals and care facilities from informing us when parishioners are admitted, so we depend upon family and friends to contact us.
How do I arrange for Anointing of the Sick? Anointing of the Sick is the prayer of the Church for someone who is ill. Contact the parish office at 952-758-3225 to schedule. Through the Sacrament of Anointing, we are asking God to give strength, healing, and grace to the person being anointed. The sacrament should be received when the person is best able to benefit from it and not be delayed until the person is at the end of life. Sick children may receive anointing as well as a person about to undergo surgery. For more information about this sacrament, click

What is the PAC? The Parish Activities Center is the newest parish building just north of the church and school. It houses the Faith Formation office, the John Paul the XXIII meeting room, the multi-purpose room (gym), and a small warming kitchen. The Clubhouse (after-school care room) and an art room used by the school are on the north side of the building. It has entrances on both the east to Columbus Avenue and on the west just across from the church parking lot. These doors are kept locked during school hours for security. There are doorbells that buzz the Faith Formation office at both entrances.
What parish facilities are available for rent? Our facilities can be used for graduation, anniversary, or wedding receptions, reunions, and holiday gatherings, as well as workshops, retreats, and other large group events.
